Employing Intralink at that point caused a significant shift in the dynamics of the negotiations in that they were able to communicate directly with the chairman of the Chinese company from a business perspective. This removed the emotion which inevitably dominated the largely face-to-face meetings conducted, up to then, through interpreters.
