ZoomSystems, Inc., the automated retail leader from San Francisco, has opened its tenth ZoomShop in Japan. The award-winning company has deployed almost 800 of its self-service stores in airports, malls and other retail outlets since its 2006 launch, helping brands such as Apple and Sony generate high-impact shopping experiences for their customers. QuickLogic Corporation, the Silicon Valley developer of ultra low-power seminconductor solutions for the portable electronics market, has revealed a fully-operational Customer Specific Standard Product (CSSP) for the netbook and mobile internet device market. The company, whose latest offering can dramatically lower the power consumption of devices based on Intel's Atom™ processor, is working with Intralink to develop the commercial opportunities in the Japanese market.

Nujira Ltd, a leading provider of high-efficiency RF transmission solutions has secured a further £10m in venture funding. Cleantech specialist Environmental Technologies has joined existing investors Bank Invest, 3i, Amadeus and Japan's Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, to bring the total raised to £26m. Intralink represents Nujira in China and Japan via its Surrogate Sales Program™.

Explanar (Holdings) Limited, brand owner of the patented Explanar Golf Training System, has appointed Alice Liu as its supplier liaison manager in China. Avira GmbH, the leading anti-virus software company based in Tettnang, Germany, has incorporated a Japanese company, marking a significant step towards breaking out of Intralink’s Surrogate Sales Program™. Avira KK, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avira GmbH, is headquartered in Tokyo and will manage the group’s sales and marketing activities in Japan. The company is working with Intralink to recruit a Country Manager and other key appointments.

Plastic Logic GmbH, the recognised global leader in plastic electronics which has raised more than $200 million in venture financing, has selected Intralink to undertake work in Asia. The company, which will launch its keenly-anticipated QUE™ proReader at CES in Las Vegas in January, has successfully engaged with Intralink on two previous occasions.

Codexis Inc, the US-based developer of clean and efficient chemical production processes, has identified opportunities in Japan's pharmaceutical and chemicals sectors following completion of a market opportunity validation by Intralink. The company, whose next-generation technology saves manufacturers time and money, will implement its market access strategy through Intralink's three-stage Surrogate Sales Program.

RPO, Inc., the Silicon Valley pioneer of optical touch-screen technology, has appointed Intralink as its business development partner in Japan. The company's Digital Waveguide Touch™ technology can be applied to any product that benefits from having a touch-screen interface. Supported by RPO's commercial and technical teams located in the United States and Australia, Intralink will focus on handheld applications, such as gameplayers, cellphones and personal navigation devices, by targeting Japan's leading OEMs and module manufacturers.

The Gap Partnership, a global negotiation consultancy, has appointed a partner to deliver its services in Japan. The company, which has more than 300 multinational clients across retail, FMCG, healthcare and other sectors, has been working with Intralink to support its entry into the Japanese market and to identify and qualify partner candidates. The Gap Partnership delivers negotiation solutions in 12 languages across four continents and will launch its Japan-based services in November.

Nujira Ltd, the Cambridge, UK-based provider of high-efficiency RF transmission solutions, has achieved industry-topping efficiencies of over 60% for its 4G LTE signal amplification technology. The pioneering company, which is working with Intralink in Japan and China to target the major OEMs in the mobile infrastructure space, is set to benefit from the global transition to the fourth generation of mobile standards.
