British Ambassador Sir Graham Fry cuts ribbon on expanded facility

Tokyo, Japan – 6th April, 2006 – Intralink KK, the wholly-owned subsidiary of UK-based Intralink Limited and the leading provider of market access and business development services to high-tech companies targeting Japan and China, has moved into larger office premises in central Tokyo. The subsidiary company’s new home was formally opened by British ambassador to Japan, Sir Graham Fry, on 5th April.

Attending the ceremony, Intralink COO, Greg Sutch said, “This move represents an important next step in our strategy to improve the breadth and quality of service to our growing client base. These new premises will provide additional space for Intralink staff and for our clients who second people from their home country or employ specialists locally.”

The new offices are located on Hibiya-dori – a main thoroughfare through central Tokyo – in Nishi-shimbashi, and are just a few minutes’ walk from JR and subway stations at Shimbashi and Uchisaiwaicho. The 350m² premises have been newly refurbished and include expanded conference and meeting facilities, and a dedicated zone to accommodate clients’ employees.

Greg Sutch added, “The facility for our clients to locate their own staff in our offices is an integral part of the Surrogate Sales Program™. It offers clients a quick, practical and low-risk way to implement technical support and account management strategies before they move into dedicated premises. The ability to offer timely support to newly-converted Japanese customers is essential to underpinning relationships in the short term and to building a successful and sustainable business in the long term.”

This move follows the recent announcement by Intralink that it has signed its 100th client for its core Surrogate Sales Program™. Intralink is managing “live” initiatives for over 50 clients from its offices in Tokyo, Shanghai and Shenzhen. The move also follows the company’s recent decision to upgrade its Japanese entity to full “KK” (limited liability) status and employ two additional Project Managers in its Tokyo office. The additional managers will support new and existing business development initiatives for clients from the UK and USA.

In his address to Intralink directors and senior managers, Sir Graham Fry said, “This move represents a further step forward in Intralink’s 17-year history of helping British companies to succeed in Japan. I am confident that the company will go on to introduce many more British firms to the huge and diverse opportunities in the Japanese market.”
