ZoomSystems, Inc., the automated retail leader from San Francisco, has opened its tenth ZoomShop in Japan. The award-winning company has deployed almost 800 of its self-service stores in airports, malls and other retail outlets since its 2006 launch, helping brands such as Apple and Sony generate high-impact shopping experiences for their customers. Japan’s latest ZoomShop sells Guthy-Renker’s Proactive Solution skincare products in the Yokohama Porta shopping complex.

QuickLogic Corporation, the Silicon Valley developer of ultra low-power seminconductor solutions for the portable electronics market, has revealed a fully-operational Customer Specific Standard Product (CSSP) for the netbook and mobile internet device market. The company, whose latest offering can  dramatically lower the power consumption of devices based on Intel's Atom™ processor, is working with Intralink to develop the commercial opportunities in the Japanese market.

Nujira Ltd, a leading provider of high-efficiency RF transmission solutions has secured a further £10m in venture funding. Cleantech specialist Environmental Technologies has joined existing investors Bank Invest, 3i, Amadeus and Japan's Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, to bring the total raised to £26m. Intralink represents Nujira in China and Japan via its Surrogate Sales Program™.

Avira GmbH, the leading anti-virus software company based in Tettnang, Germany, has incorporated a Japanese company, marking a significant step towards breaking out of Intralink’s Surrogate Sales Program™. Avira KK, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avira GmbH, is headquartered in Tokyo and will manage the group’s sales and marketing activities in Japan. The company is working with Intralink to recruit a Country Manager and other key appointments.

The company, which has more than 300 multinational clients across retail, FMCG, healthcare and other sectors, has been working with Intralink to support its entry into the Japanese market and to identify and qualify partner candidates.
