Julian Kingsbury PDF Print E-mail

Julian read Chinese & Economics at London University and has an MBA from Warwick Business School and Fudan University in Shanghai. Prior to joining Intralink in 2005, he worked as an investment banker in research and M&A roles in Shanghai, London and Munich as well as advising a UK industrial conglomerate on its China market entry strategy. Julian has been working in China for the last 10 years.

Since joining Intralink, Julian has worked with many European and US companies - both VC-backed technology start-ups and stock-listed - to expand their businesses in China. His focus has been in the telecommunications and RFID sectors, selling FMC and home networking solutions to China’s operators and OEM vendors, licencing IC cores to and developing reference designs with China’s leading IC design houses and selling software solutions to handset OEMs, ODMs and IDHs. He has successfully negotiated multi-million dollar IP licencing agreements on behalf of clients, as well as MOU and IOT agreements with China’s carriers and large domestic equipment vendors.

Besides working on surrogate sales mandates, Julian has also facilitated negotiations on behalf of clients with Chinese counterparties in the banking sector, represented clients’ interests in a non-executive capacity on China management boards and at quasi-governmental China technology standards specification working groups, and supervised and managed a number of research reports assessing the market opportunities for clients’ products and services.

Julian is based in Intralink’s Shanghai office.

Solomon Bergen-Bartel PDF Print E-mail

Solomon worked as a research analyst in Shanghai focusing on the biotechnology sector and later wrote business intelligence reports on China foreign investment. He first came to China in 2002 and has traveled extensively while based in Shanghai. He has a degree in biology from the University of Virginia.

Sol has undertaken opportunity assessment and business development initiatives for clients in the biopharmaceutical/chemical, enterprise and consumer software, and IC design sectors. In the course of this work, he has interacted closely with China’s leading pharmaceutical groups and CROs, IC design houses, and network operators and system integrators in the mobile comms sector. His experience also extends to developing local regulatory strategies, representing foreign companies in Chinese government tenders, and organizing high-profile promotional and marketing events.

Sol joined Intralink in January 2007 and is based in Shanghai.

Stuart Coyle PDF Print E-mail

Stuart worked in sales and marketing in the semiconductor industry in Taiwan. He moved to China in 2004 and has worked in Taipei, Beijing, Shenzhen and Shanghai. He has a BSc in International Economics from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in Chinese Business from the University of Sheffield.

Stuart has experience in the mobile and fixed-line comms sectors, licensing semiconductor IP and selling hardware and software solutions to semiconductor design houses, handset OEMs and network operators. He has also worked with new technologies in the areas of renewable energy and advanced composites, and has concluded agreements with the China-based subsidiaries of international OEMs and ODMs in the automotive and notebook/netbook PC spaces.

Formerly based in Intralink’s Shenzhen office, where he developed relationships with many Guangdong-based companies, Stuart relocated to Shanghai in 2008 and then to Intralink's Taipei office in 2009.

Michael Wang PDF Print E-mail

After graduating from China's prestigious NUDT (National University of Defence Technology) in 1995 where he majored in optoelectronics, Michael accumulated 14 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, performing a variety of roles as a systems engineer, operations manager and business development director, before joining Intralink. In his previous positions at Alcatel, ZTE, Photonic Bridges and Altran, he worked with a range of technologies including broadband access, FMC, next-generation networks, optical transmission, and wireless access.

As Product Marketing Manager for ZTE, Michael was responsible for the company's research into the telecoms market in China and the Asia Pacific region, as well as product promotion and tendering. In his capacity as Business Development Director for Photonic Bridges (part of Nokia Siemens Networks), he was responsible for establishing OEM and channel partnerships with telecom equipment manufacturers, developing direct sales to telecom operators, and managing the China and APAC key account team.

Michael is based in Intralink’s Shanghai office.

Thomas Shiekman PDF Print E-mail

Thomas received his BA in East Asian Studies from Dickinson College, during which time he spent a year abroad at Peking University studying Chinese. Prior to joining Intralink, Thomas worked in supply chain management at the Shanghai office of a US-based company. He has procurement experience across a broad range of sectors and has worked with China’s leading suppliers in industries ranging from medical devices to packaging goods. He has also worked in CNN’s Beijing Bureau and the World Trade Center in his hometown of Philadelphia.

Since joining Intralink, Thomas has conducted business development and opportunity assessment initiatives in the telecoms, automotive/industrial, green tech and medical devices sectors. He has developed, implemented, and managed revenue-generating sales & localization strategies on behalf of Intralink's clients, and in the process has engaged with China’s leading commercial vehicle OEMs and T1 suppliers, as well as the three telecom carriers, leading handset OEMs/ODMs and telecom network solution providers.

Thomas is based in Intralink’s Shanghai office.

Zhao Le PDF Print E-mail

Zhao Le has a degree in Marketing from Dalian University and an MA in Business Management from Kingston University in the UK. Before joining Intralink in 2005, she worked in broadcasting, retail and PR.

In addition to her responsibilities as Intralink’s operations manager in China, Zhao Le has worked as project manager on many client assignments, including Landscape™ and Benchmark™ initiatives. She has evaluated and qualified manufacturers to supply components and finished products into the consumer electronics, telecoms, medical devices and sports equipment sectors, and has a good knowledge of materials and production processes. She has successfully concluded China-based supply and manufacturing partnerships for our American and European clients, and has acted as interim general manager for a British engineering firm with a wholly-owned sourcing and distribution facility in China.

Zhao Le comes from Dalian in China's north east and is located in Intralink's Shanghai office.

Alex Barton PDF Print E-mail

Alex received his BA in Chinese Studies from the University of Sheffield and has an MSC from the University of Nottingham in Ningbo, China. He came to China in 2006 but has also spent time in Taiwan.

Before joining Intralink, Alex worked as an interpreter, in manufacturing, and in project management for a Dutch-Chinese joint venture based in Wuxi. He also has experience in sourcing, having undertaken assignments for companies in the retail, home furnishings and construction sectors. With Intralink, he has worked on business development initiatives in the cleantech, telecoms and engineering sectors.

Alex is based in Intralink’s Shanghai office.

Hannah Jackson PDF Print E-mail

Hannah read Chinese at the University of Sheffield, during which time she spent a year studying at Nanjing University. Since coming to China, she has worked in marketing for a Shanghai-based real estate company and in export sales for a manufacturer of printer accessories located in Guangdong province. Before joining Intralink, she was appointed to set up and manage a Mandarin training centre catering to the burgeoning expatriate community in Shanghai. With Intralink, Hannah has worked across a range of sectors including education, retail and print & packaging.

Hannah is a fluent Mandarin speaker and is based in the company's Shanghai office.

After receiving his BBA in International Business from Tampere Polytechnic University, Anssi came to China in 2005 and received a BA in Chinese Language from Beijing Language and Culture University in 2010. Prior to joining Intralink, Anssi worked for a number of high technology SMEs in Finland and in China. He speaks fluent Mandarin and is based in the company’s Shanghai office.

He has a first class honours degree in Chinese Studies and Management from the University of Sheffield in the UK and a Masters in International Business.
